International Bipolar Foundation (IBPF) is a not-for-profit organization founded by four mothers who have children with bipolar disorder, and who found navigating the mental health system daunting. Initially offering support groups out of their homes, IBPF has grown to an international presence with a mission to eliminate bipolar disorder through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support services; and to erase associated stigma through public education.
