Santa Barbara Channelkeeper's mission is to protect and restore the Santa Barbara Channel and its watersheds. Through science-based advocacy, education, field work and enforcement, Channelkeeper defends our community’s right to clean water and informs, inspires and empowers people to speak and act for our waterways.

Channelkeeper works on the water and in communities along the Santa Barbara Channel to monitor water quality, restore aquatic ecosystems, advocate for clean water, enforce environmental laws, and educate and engage citizens in devising and implementing solutions to local water pollution problems. Our efforts are focused on cleaning up the leading sources of pollution that threaten the health of our local beaches, creeks,wetlands and ocean.
